The conference will take place both in virtual mode and in presence in the head administration building of CNR, piazzale Aldo Moro 7, 15 min walking distance East from the Termini station (see map).
There are hotels nearby, but the zone is not particularly pleasant and the city centre is South-West of the Termini station. Hotels near that side of the station are very close to important monuments (Terme di Diocleziano, National Archaeological Museum, Basilica di S. Maria Maggiore, …) and still within walking distance from the conference site.
Lunches are not included in the fee. There is a bar and a canteen in the top floor of the CNR building, which costs up to 8 €. Outside but very close to the CNR building there are several bars. For example, Bar Leonardi is good and the prices are: sandwich or similar 3.5 €, fruit salad 2.5 €, pasta 5 €, meat 7 €.
June 29 is holiday in Rome (St. Peter and Paul, patron saints of Rome), and it will be possible to organize in the afternoon a guided visit to the Centrale Montemartini, part of the Musei Capitolini in the unique setting of a dismissed thermoelectric plant (http://www.centralemontemartini.org/). The dinner will be in the same evening at the restaurant “Le Tavernelle”, Via Panisperna 48, once frequented by Enrico Fermi and his collaborators (I ragazzi di Via Panisperna, see https://www.thedailystar.net/magazine/2012/05/03/roman.htm).
For 40 € it will be possible to have first course, second course, side dish, glass of wine, dessert, coffee.
